If you are thinking of studying at a British University or college, we have reference manuals, such as the UCAS handbook and a selection of prospectuses available for you to browse through in our reading room.

Language Requirements and Tests
In order to gain maximum benefit from any course of study in the UK, it is essential that you have a good command of the English language. Most colleges and universities in the UK will ask you to prove that you have reached a high level of fluency before admitting you onto a course
One of the tests is the British Council International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test.
Details can be obtained directly from the British Council in Mauritius.
You may of course wish to go to the UK just to study English language. There are hundreds of schools and colleges offering courses in English language at all levels. The British Council can help you choose the right course for your needs.
