Fighting piracy - Seychelles and EU sign SOFA 12 November 2009

Seychelles and the European Union have signed a Status of Forces Agreement which established the legal status of foreign military and civilian personnel participating in the framework of the EU Military Operation Atalanta

Remembrance day 12 November 2009

In Seychelles, the Seychellois who fought in the two world wars were remembered in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Mont Fleuri cenotaph on 8 November. The British High Commissioner, Matthew Forbes led the ceremony and delivered the main address.
