There is a Deaths register for all British citizens who die when in Seychelles. There is no obligation to register a death at the High Commission, but by doing so you can obtain a UK death certificate.

In order to issue the death certificate, we require the following:

• Local death certificate
• If possible, medical/ post-mortem report
• Proof of British nationality – e.g. passport
• Appropriate fee (see Consular fees page)
